Zach's new best friend is ELMO! He sings and dances with him on a daily basis. I'm putting together my video library of most embarrassing moments for his 16Th birthday. Oh, what an archive it will be!!

Labor Day Weeknd Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

We had a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa Eichhorst Labor Day weekend. We actually got out of the house and showed them around the Twin Cities!
The boys had a great summer and we are sad to have it end so soon. We couldn't have asked for better weather.

Tidy Bowl Man

Potty training is going much better than I expected. The boys are still pretty interested. We have had many interesting situations but this particular event was the best so far!

While getting Jake's shoes on to go, "bye-bye" Zach was telling me he had to potty!
Trying to be in two places at once is still a task I am trying to master. Unfortunately, I am still fine-tuning my multi-tasking skills and this is the result. Although, I applaud Zach's effort, he missed a couple key steps in the process! LOL
1. Must take diaper and pants off
2. Should be facing forward not backwards
3. Sit ON the potty not IN the potty!
The first two pictures are of Zach in amazement that I wasn't over the moon with excitement that he was going potty unassisted! The last is what I caught on video.....PRICELESS!! Asking me to leave...(I assume for some privacy)

Wisconsin Weekend Fun

We had such a good time with Pete's family on our recent visit to Wisconsin. The boys are really getting to an age where they enjoy playing with the cousins instead of playing alone!
We packed our weekend visiting with family and celebrating Cousin Tara's birthday! I am so happy the boys are getting the opportunity to grow up with their cousins, Aunts and Uncle's and Grandparents! This time is so precious. I know we will all look back and be thankful we had the opportunity to be so close!

It's Potty Time

The last month or two we have been dabbling in potty training. It all started because Jake had shown some interest in telling us when he was going or had gone to the bathroom. Zach showed interest shortly after watching his BIG brother. I was soooo happy! Well, I've realized that this is just the FIRST of many steps to the potty training process. Ah, the beauty of ignorance. For a brief moment, I thought potty training was going to be a easy....yeah, not so much. I've also heard boys are a bit more challenging to train than girls. So the fun begins!!!



Zach is not as enthusiastic as Jake to be on the potty.

Jake feels like such a big boy and is sooo very proud - even if he's never made a deposit.......YET!!

My First Garden Set!

Every weekend morning we go outside to drink our coffee and let the boys run around. Here are some pictures of Zach enjoying his new garden set. He seems to be more interested in getting the water in his mouth than on the plants and lawn! The weather has been pretty nice lately. We've really enjoyed hanging outside with the boys and playing in the yard.
The last picture is my favorite! I love baby feet! They are so soft and chubby. Zach's aren't so little anymore so I am capturing all the moments now because before I know it, those feet will be marching across the stage at GRADUATION!! YIKES

Big Boy Chair

I can start posting the high chairs on craigslist. Zach will no longer sit in his high chair without a fight! They are growing up so fast. His new words for the week are OFF (ah-fffffff) as he says it and Elmo! He is fascinated with Elmo!!

Luggage Rides

I had a great time in Los Angeles visiting with baby Jordan and my girls!! When I came home and unpacked, the boys found it amusing to crawl into the luggage. Daddy is a kid himself at heart....and came up with the wonderful idea of luggage rides! This lasted about 30 minutes! Luckily for daddy, it was nap time...FOR EVERYONE!

Easter Pics

My sister did an amazing job preparing for Easter. The table was beautifully decorated and the food was amazing! She made entertaining for 16 look easy!

Dynamic Duo

I had some pictures taken of the boys in February to try and capture their personalities. I don't know where the time goes. They seem to be growing like weeds!
I wake up every morning wondering what the day has in store for us because it seems like they learn something new everyday!

Bull Fights

Zach finally got his two teeth that were coming in. He now has 6 very BIG teeth! Too cute!

CABIN FEVER

The boys decided that they would toilet paper the house this week!! I can't take my eyes off them for a second. One minute I'm loading the washing machine and the next...the boys are toilet papering the hallways!! Ohhhh, how I dream of the sunny days ahead so we can play outside!!

Happy Birthday Zachary!!

It seems like just yesterday that we drove Jessica (Zach's Birth Mom) to the hospital anxiously waiting for Zachary's arrival!
I vividly remember all the feelings rushing through my body. Scared, excited, anxious, worried, but most of all, GRATEFUL!
Grateful for the opportunity to become parents. This was the day that Pete and I had dreamed about. This is the day that would change our lives forever. Our emotions ran high that morning. We checked Jessica into the hospital at 8am January 24, 2007. 13 hours and 11 minutes later Zachary Ryan Eichhorst was born!!

Zachary 2 Days Old

I always imagined how I would feel when I became a mom, but nothing could have prepared me for the way I look at life today.
Happy Birthday Zachary! We love you very much!!

Unfortunately, Zachary and the entire family were sick on his birthday, but we didn't let the flu stand in the way of eating cupcakes and singing Happy Birthday. By the end of the week we were feeling much better and met our friends in the Wisconsin Dells for the boys first waterpark experience.

More Food Please!!

Zach has finally started to enjoy eating as much as Jacob! His appetite has picked up! Unlike his mother, food has never been very important to him!! As you can see, he is getting quite comfortable at mealtime in the Eichhorst house!!

Bath Time Giggles

Zach's infectious laugh strikes again! I never knew splashing could be so fun! Jake is usually the one splashing, but tonight, his only interest is trying to get Ernie out of the boat!
